There is a long history of planting oak trees on Kennington's Recreation Ground to commemorate great events - the most recent in 1951 for the Festival of Britain. KCF would like to continue this tradition by planting a tree to mark Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee in 2012

Kennington Community Forum is an open forum set up to represent the views of people living and working in Kennington and to help communicate those views to Ashford Borough Council and other statutory organisations. It is an independent voluntary group with its own constitution.

The Forum is led by a Core Group comprising the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and up to nine other Members and it is also supported by an officer from Ashford Borough Council. You can find out more about how to become involved here.
 
 Our Meetings
Anybody living or working in the Kennington Community Forum Area (which includes the wards of Kennington, Bockhanger, Bybrook, Little Burton Farm, and the non-parished part of Boughton Aluph ward) can attend any of the meetings or become involved in the forum.  The Forum is always looking for people to join and we are happy to see new people at our meetings. 

Our open meetings are held at St. Mary's Community Centre, Rylands Road, Bybrook, Ashford, Kent, TN24 9LL, starting at 7:30pm

We also have an Annual General Meeting where officers for the Core Group are appointed and any changes to the constitution can be made.
 
If you have any local issues that you have been unable to resolve, we can help you speak to the right person. Any person living or working within the Kennington Community Forum area can report observations to the Kennington Community Forum Core Group. These observation may be concerns, complaints, suggestions or praise on any aspect to do with the general well being of the Kennington Community Forum area. Please e-mail Kennington Community Forum 
The Forum publishes Kennington News to keep people informed about what it does and about other things happening in Kennington. You can see the latest edition on our website or on the Issuu websiteWe are happy to include articles from other groups and organisations operating in the forum area.  If you would like to put an article in the next newsletter, please email the Newsletter Editor
